TIMS celebrated International Women’s day on 9th March 2015. The day started with cake cutting by all women faculty members of TIMS, followed by a lunch for all teaching and Non teaching staff. All the members enjoyed this session with informal interaction and shared their views on women empowerment. The day just did not end with this. With great enthusiasm faculty members of TIMS took initiative to organize a formal function with the students to mark this day for Women’s across the world.
Ms. Reema B, Assistant Professor-TIMS, was master of ceremony who started with a phrase on role played by women at different stages of life. A video was played on women empowerment and health awareness edited by Ms.Mythili K, Assistant Professor-TIMS. Further Mr.Shankar and Mr.Srinivas spoke on how a women turns to be a best multi-tasker, the problems faced by women as she steps out of her house with an example of Delhi Rape Case,2013. A PowerPoint presentation on successful women in India was prepared and Presented by Dr. Ratna Sinha, HOD TIMS.
The program was carried away by Mr. Yahya Abdul , IV sem B.Com Student. His words were heart touching as he shared his own experiences of being bought up by a single mother. Further Dr. Bijoy Mishra, Principal-TIMS spoke on importance of women in Men’s Life and also portrayed the power of Women in Indian Value System.
