The Department of Computer Applications, TJC organized a guest lecture on “AGILE SCRUM (SOFTWARE ENGINEERING)”. Scrum is an iterative and incremental agile software development methodology for managing product development. A key principle of scrum is its recognition that during production processes, the customers can change their minds about what they want and need (often called "requirements churn"), and that unpredicted challenges cannot be easily addressed in a traditional predictive or planned manner. The lecture was mainly focused on AGILE SCRUM concepts a topic under Software Engineering for both 3rd and 5th sem MCA students on 30th September, 2015 and the lecture was given by Mrs. Neena Mary Cysiac - Principal of training and assessment center from Infosys. A successful Scrum implementation requires proper understanding of Scrum processes within team and within all project stakeholders. Even after proper training and certification (CSM/CSPO) it’s really tough to achieve the success as intended.

The lecture was all about upgrading student’s knowledge with the deep understanding about the “AGILE SCRUM” concepts by relating it with real time examples. Our students were eager to know more about these concepts, which made them to come up with more doubts – guest invitee was happy to clear our student’s doubts. Moreover the session was very informative.{AG}img/TJC_CA_AgileScrum{/AG}
