The V Semester and III Semester MCA students of T. John college, had been to Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on an industrial visit. Mr. H.L. SRINIVASA, Scientist, ISRO Satellite Center addressed the students explaining to them advancements in Indian Space Research. Students saw models of many rockets likeSLV, ASLV, PSLV, GSLV, GSLVand Mk.III. There were models of earlier satellites like Aryabhatta(19 April 1975), Bhaskara-I (7 June 1979), Rohini and many more.
Mr. Srinivasa also explained the current Remote Sensing and Communication satellite technologies. Students were thrilled to see the working development model of satellite. They were taken to the clean room where engineers assemble satellites. The students were shown a 30minute video on the journey of making satellites. There was also an interaction session where the various doubts of students were clarified. The visit was very interesting and informative for the students.
